We meet on the last Sunday of each month from 8 - 9.00pm in the Lady Chapel.  We pray for about an hour and say the Rosary.  We pray for the Church, our intentions and for those who have died; offering all to St Padre Pio.  Anyone is free to come along - no "joining" involved.

Padre Pio lived from 1887 to 1968 in southern Italy.  He was a Capuchin Friar who lived a very devout life and in September 1918 received the mystical wounding of the stigmata.  He spent his days in prayer, hearing confessions and experienced a number of visions.  He was renowned as a saint in his lifetime with large number of pilgrims coming to his friary where he also inspired the building of a hospital for the poor.  He became a saint of the Catholic Church on 16th June 2002, just 34 years after his death.

The prayer group is registered here in the UK and in Italy, and recognized by the Vatican.

This group meets fortnightly in members' homes and starts at 7.30pm (the venue is advertised in the Newsletter).  Apart from prayer, meditations and the Rosary, donations are made to various charities.  Light refreshments are served after the meeting.  All are most welcome.

The Rosary Group meets once a week on Thursday mornings at 11.15am to meditate and pray the Rosary.  We meet in the home of Sue and John Forer (Heath Road North).  The Rosary takes approximately 25 minutes, and afterwards coffee, tea and biscuits are provided.  Everyone is most welcome.

This is a practice in the Catholic Church in which the Blessed Sacrament is exposed to, and adored by the faithful.

Adoration is a sign of devotion to and worship of Jesus Christ, as we believe Him to be present Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, under the appearance of the consecrated Host.  The Host is displayed in a monstrance, placed on the Lady Chapel Altar.

Exposition began on a regular basis in 1996 at St Margaret Mary, primarily to pray for our young people.  It is held weekly from 6.00pm - 8.00pm on most Thursday evenings (see the Newsletter for details).

Also, during the week we try to hold Exposition on a Monday and Wednesday morning after the 9.45am Mass.  Once again, this can be confirmed by the details in the Newsletter.

Come and pray with the Lord, spend some quiet time in His presence. Feel free to drop in on your way home from work or if you are passing.  There is no obligation to spend the entire time of the Exposition - feel free to come and go as you wish and are able.

Every Wednesday 10.30am – 12 Noon, in the Paray Room.  A prayer group to support each other through the trials of life, and also to give thanks for blessings received.  Based around a light agenda of Prayer, Scripture and Meditation, Worship, Praise and Intercession - led by the Holy Spirit.  You are free to come and go, dip in and out and go next door to the quiet of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Lady Chapel.

A Book for Prayers lies open in the Lady Chapel for anyone to write an intention.  During weekday Mass the book, brought up at the offertory with the gifts of bread and wine, is placed on the Altar and the recent intentions are announced inviting the Community to pray for them.  Similarly the Prayer Group, Rosary Group and Bethany Group take the intentions to their meetings and the members of the Groups hold the intentions in their prayers.
