This group visits the elderly, sick and housebound people and does small tasks like shopping for them.
The group also organizes a 'Spring Drive' and the 'Autumn Leaves Drive' through the New Forest (or a similar picturesque location) for the more elderly and housebound of our community, and provides a tea in the hall afterwards.
An annual Tea Party is also organized for the over 70s each February in our hall, with parishioners assisting with entertainment and transport.
We lead the Church community in supporting the local HomeStart Charity with a Toy Appeal before Christmas, giving everyone a chance to donate a toy or gift to a child who perhaps would not normally receive one due to family financial circumstances.
The team also helps to raise funds during the year and co-ordinate donations from parishioners to create Christmas hampers, which are handed to people and families who need a little help at this expensive time of the year.
At present the meetings of this fairly informal group take place after Mass on Tuesday mornings, approximately every couple of months. This could be rearranged if new members would like to join us and would prefer to meet at another time. We are very flexible and willing.
